Look at this stunning 1950's Black Pleated Cocktail Dress by Anne Fogarty. This dress has a sweetheart bodice with a sheer sleeveless top. The bodice has boning on the sides to keep it up in place. There is a back metal zipper with snaps and the bodice has a tie at the top. Thecherry on top is the accordion pleated satin lined skirt!
Anne Fogarty started her design career in 1948. She commonly made dresses with full skirts and crinolines. She designed exclusively for Saks Fifth Ave in 1957. She wrote a book in 1959 called Wife Dressing that gave advice on how to dress to please a man. Hmmm... how about we dress to please ourselves! And that you will definitely do in this beautiful dress!
