Get ready for some serious color...

Sparkly pear shaped faceted color change Alexandrite quartz wrapped in sterling wire dangles from a  sterling french hook earwire. These stones change colors in different lighting to all different shades of purple, even a little red or green occasionally. I took pictures in a variety of light to illustrate this.The stone size is about 14 mm  high x 10 mm wide so it has a nice presence to it but it's light enough for everyone to wear. The total length of the earring is about 1 ".
